First Day Editing

First day of editing our footage went ok overall.
All 4 of us didn't quite know how to work Final Cut. Alex sat on the Mac and messed around with it for a bit to try and see what tool did what while we sat with him figuring it out as well. Once he got the hang of it he taught us what tool was needed for what so that we could all have a go at editing.
Alex edited a few bits of the footage by putting it together on Final Cut, once he did that i had a go at editing the alleyway scene. I figured out that it would take a lot longer editing the alleyway scenes than what we all thought. Editing the bit from when Liza walks from the station to the beginning of the alleyway was fine, but then putting the point of view shots together, figuring out how long they should be on the camera was the most difficult bit. We didn't get what we wanted done which was editing all the point of view shots and putting them together, we only managed to get 2 point of shot shots together, to which we will carry it on on the second day of editing!
Overall, figuring out the tools and getting used to editing and cutting shots was ok once we all figured it out properly. It is going to take a while to do but we will be finished for when it is due in.
